This year marks a historical time in Portland, Oregon. Portland's Juneteenth Celebration has been observed for over 2 decades and has yet to be universally recognized by our society at large. Celebrating the announcement of freedom from slavery for African-Americans is an important and joyous occasion for all members of our society as we advance into a future of diversity, equality and progress.
For the first time a internationally acclaimed artist with 11 grammies, 7 dove awards and a career of over 20 years of music, is coming out to perform live at Portland's New Beginnings Church.
Don't miss this joyous celebration in which we will join hands in the spirit of togetherness and uplift our community.

Conscious Posse out of Portland
With a collective of 'conscious' rappers out of Portland, it is likely that a positive brand of Hip-Hop will be the prevailing niche to represent the internationally recognized 'Rose City'. With acts such as Luck-One, Madgesdiq, C3, OP1 and Life Savaz, to name a few, Portland is aiming to be a true Hip-Hop haven.
On the rise, OP1 and C3 have entered into a collaborative effort setting it off with a song involving Lauryn Hill, huh? come again.. Yes, grammy winning Soul/Hip-Hop legend Lauryn Hill is on their latest project.
OP1 got some more surprises as well. "The movement to put Portland on the map cannot be born of self-love but must be for a higher cause..." says Rapper OP1. "Many people in this great city have tried and failed and the key lies in the purpose, the intention and the larger plan... until we unite in the name of a higher cause, the struggle for the crown is a fabricated fantasy born of watching too much television. Lets build up a movement that will carry our talent into the next galaxy..."
We can expect a lot more positive movement from our positive MC's in the year to come.
