TRUE SHINE MAGAZINE CATCHES UP WITH ESPERANZA SPALDING (Orion "OP1" & Esperanza Spalding catch up)

After winning the 2011 Grammy for Best New Artist of the Year, Ms Esperanza Spalding returns to Portland to bless her past instructors, Greg McKelvey and Thara Memory.  The fundraisers were both initiatives to raise money for youth focused Jazz programs and Ms Spalding came through for her city!

True Shine got the opportunity to catch up with Ms Spalding... Looking forward to our Fall issue of True Shine Magazine which will feature Ms Spalding and explore the inspiration behind the Musical Protege.  She has played with Prince, Stevie Wonder, played for both Michelle&Barack Obama, won the best new artist of the year over Justin Bieber&Drake.. what will be next from Ms Amazing?!?
